Mm Dead Space 3 has a thing about swapping designs around between Isaac and Carver. Like Issac's Elite suit is the same design as Carver's Legionary suit minus slight cosmetic changes, I'm guessing so they aren't exact carbon copies. That being said I personally don't mind the look of it, I think it fits in with the aesthetic of the game.
